Mike and Me

Me and Mike April 2018 – Tel Aviv

I love to travel, I have always loved going new places and seeing new things, and this led to my taking up photography for a hobby. I have a wonder DSLR camera T6i, but several of my photos are also with my cell phone, to get those ‘quick’ shots that can’t be captured with the official camera.

My travel, these days, are to the market, paying bills, coffee with friends, breakfast out a couple of times a month, and since this covid mess, we’ve been out to dinner only 2 times since February. I am happy to be able to be here with Mike, and to take care of him – but I do miss the planning, and expectation, of a long trip. I don’t believe we’ll be doing any major travels in the coming months, let alone years.

Now I am focused on getting my office/craft room set up, and this is a good place to focus for the winter, snowy weather, that is coming soon. I have several projects with scrapbooking I am hoping to get to. I began a family history project several years ago, and I got 1 album done – 6 times. I did an album for myself and each of my siblings. I had hoped to continue on and do at least 2 more albums for each one of us; but we moved, and eventually, 7 years ago, we ended up in the panhandle of Idaho to be near our son and his family. This is going to be the 1st time, in all these years, that I will have a place to do my stuff. I am looking forward to completing that initial project, and I want to begin to put our travels into scrapbooks.

Right now, the days are shorter, it gets dark early; but the days are also long, with knowing the things I need to do, and I want to do. For now, It’s been a great day. Have a good evening.

  1. That is an incredible picture of the Eiffel Tower!!! My pics are so lame compared to yours!!! Talking about travel. Our 50th anniversary is this month. So sad we weren’t able to do something special. I’ll have to live through the great pictures you took on your trip last year!
