1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
It was snowing steadily when I woke up this morning. At 5 am! I tried to go back to sleep, but it wasn’t working. So I figured I would go take some photos of the eagles – after I got ready to go, I changed my mind. The snow was falling, there was at least 4 inches and I just decided it would be a better day to stay in the house. So I sat on the sofa, and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. There was no real outside noise that early, and what little bit I might have generally heard was totally muffled by the snow. This is bliss.
Eventually Mike woke up, went into the kitchen to make some coffee, and fell asleep in the chair before the coffee was finished. After he woke up, he decided to go back to bed and sleep some more. I went to the office to do a bit of work in there, but I didn’t make much progress today.
Mike got up again around noon, and I fixed him a sandwich, gave him some chips and a glass of milk, and as soon as he was finished he went back to sleep. The next time he woke up I asked him what was going on. Apparently his C-Pap machine has been giving him fits the last couple of nights, and when he doesn’t use it he gets no rest at all. He stops breathing in his sleep! His sleep apnea is working overtime without the C-Pap working properly.
I did go out the post office to pick up a package, but I didn’t stay out long. I came right back to the house to keep an eye on Mike. Then around 4 he started complaining he needed to eat and insisted I didn’t need to bother taking care of him, he could do it himself! I looked at him and smiled. Yes, you could, but since I know where everything is, it would be easier for me to do it. He looked at me, wrapped himself into a blanket and fell asleep in the lounge chair while I fixed dinner. After dinner, I cleaned the kitchen, and Mike decided he would go to bed for the night. I pray he gets adjusted whatever he needs to be able to sleep well tonight. All in all, it’s been a great day. Have a good evening.
