Philippians 1:11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
As things are happening with Mike, I suddenly realized that, although we had done a will, and a trust, Mike had never signed the durable medical power of attorney. Even though we’ve been married for over 50 years, having that paper signed gives me that much more power, especially in the event that Mike will need long term care. Though I will need to be sure to have good medical advice from trusted people, I will be the one to make the decisions on his care.
I made a point, this morning, to tell him I was concerned he hadn’t signed that paper, and I had been told by the attorney it needed to be notarized – I also told him, as his problems increase, I can be his advocate more easily if he’s given me the permission to speak for him. He agreed to sign the paper, so I contacted the attorney’s office and made an appointment for us to go in. Now everything is signed, and a copy is with the attorney, and the original is in our safe.
After we finished signing papers, Mike decided he wanted a cheeseburger, so we went to a local pub, Moontime, and had one, each! They are huge! Neither of us could finish the whole thing. We both ended up taking the bun off and just eating the burger with the cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce!

After we got home, I did a few chores and then Mike and I watched some tv. He fell asleep, so I decided it was a good time for me to also call it a night. It’s been a great day. Have a good evening.
