Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Today was Mike’s doctor’s appointment. I told him last night we needed to leave the house at 9:15 am. He forgot what time we needed to be up and he woke me at 6:00 am. I convinced him to go back to sleep, but I was totally awake. So I got up and enjoyed a hot cup of Constant Comment tea with Bailey’s Irish Cream. It is so delicious, and warming. And while I was sitting in the quiet, I enjoyed looking out at a light covering of snow –
We got to the clinic in a good time and all went smooth. The doctor spoke to me about putting a copy of our POA (power of attorney) into Mike’s file for an added extra protection for him, even though he’s already signed the Hippa form to allow them to discuss his care with me. They are going to try to get workman’s comp to cover some physical therapy for Mike for his knees, and hips – he walks in a shuffle, bent forward. He says it’s because he hurts, and nothing that’s been done, so far, has helped him.
After we got home, Mike sat and read, then he took a nap, he read some more – then to the family room to watch tv. I am concerned that he’s not getting enough physical activity; and even though he says that’s what he needs, he hasn’t made the effort. All in all, it’s been a great day. Have a good evening.
