Psalm 22:27 All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You.
This afternoon, I woke Mike at 1:30 pm to go to our son’s home for dinner – Mike had a hard time waking up, walking up the stairs, walking through the house – I took him by the arm and held onto him and I eventually got him to sit down and I fixed him some coffee. He fell asleep again, and at 2:45 he woke up and drank his, now cold, coffee. He began to doze off again and I told him I needed to get the car started so we could leave at 3. It took him 20 minutes to get his shoes on, and tied. Then, as we left the house, he almost fell going down the stairs, to the car in the garage.
At Robert’s home, Mike fell asleep on the sofa with all the kids around playing, and making noise; when dinner was ready, Mike sat at the table and I filled his plate – he had a difficult time getting the fork to his mouth, and a difficult time trying to talk. We all gave him space to say whatever he needed to say when he did try talking. I could tell Robert was concerned with the amount of ground Mike has lost in the last couple of months. I almost began to cry at the sudden feeling of another loss happening. HOWEVER!!
Today was wonderful in the fact that I got to church and enjoyed awesome praise and worship, and also in the fact that Mike, and I, went to our son’s home for a late Thanksgiving celebration. We had ham, and stuffing, and cranberry sauce and green bean casserole and mashed potatoes with tons of gravy! It was a wonderful time of joy and family. Today was wonderful in the fact the kids were so attentive to Grandpa! Today was wonderful in the fact we were able to gather together.
It’s been a wonderful day. Have a good evening.
