Guidance in the Storm

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

It’s been a stay home day, today – for the most part. I had a company come and clean the leaves and debris from the driveway and they picked up all the loose, broken branches from the last freeze we had. It’s very nice to have that completed.

Mike has questioned every pill I gave him today – I had to open each bottle to find the pill he was questioning and show him the bottle. Then this evening, when I gave him the nighttime meds, he argued about 1 of them, I don’t take this one. Yes, this morning you told me you only take it at night, so here it is. I don’t need it tonight; you didn’t take it this morning, you haven’t had it at all today – take the pill! He finally took it.

I don’t feel as sad and defeated today, as I did last night. I have been praying and asking for guidance and even though things aren’t settled and they aren’t in order, yet – I know I am heading in the correct direction. Mike even agreed to go out to pizza, for dinner, this evening.

It is going to be good for me to connect with a support group and maybe even find someone to come in a couple of times a month to stay with Mike so I can go out shopping, or to coffee, and have a couple of hours to myself. I am also going to be planning a garden for my front lawn area. Not just a veggie garden, or just a flower garden, more like a mixture of herbs, flowers, some water flowing, a selection of paths that curl around and connect. A place where I can put a decorative table and chairs with Iceland Poppies, and pansies growing around. Maybe some bluebells or Canterbury Belles, I’ll be working with a landscaping company to try to figure it all out.

It’s been a great day. Have a good evening.
