Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.

Me and Mike whale watching in the North Atlantic off the coast of Iceland, August 2017.Brrrrrrrrrr……

I was awake at 6 this morning – it raining and hailing! I needed to take the trash to the curb, but not in that! I rolled over and went back to sleep. At 7:30 I was up for the day, I got the cans to the curb and back to the house. I had a cup of hot tea, and did a few things. I had an errand to run and I was able to get done and back home before Mike was up.

I needed to go to the bank and get a money order, and at 10:30 I decided to just go. I didn’t know how much longer Mike would sleep, and as I was putting my shoes on, he came into the room. After he got his coffee and sat down, I told him I had to run to the bank, and then to the post office. I kissed the top of his head and left. I did my errands, I even made an extra stop, and got back home within an hour.

As I got into the house, I realized Mike had fallen asleep in the chair, probably just as I left, and he was still sleeping when I got home. I woke him, gave him some lunch and fixed myself a cup of hot tea. We spent most of the rest of the day, reading and being together.

Mike decided he wanted to watch some tv, so he went to the family room, and I went upstairs to get his medications for him. He was sitting in his chair again, when I got back downstairs, so I handed him the packet. Later, just before I was heading to bed, I realized he had forgotten to take the medicines, so I took the packet to him, and said good-night.

It was a great day. Have a good evening.
