Jude 1b-2 To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ: 2 Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
Mike and I used to love to explore; we used to take long, long car rides to a remote someplace and then get out and explore – we used to take hiking trails to waterfalls, or scenic overlooks, we used to……
Now, Mike barely wants to leave the house, it gets to confusing. His agitation reached such a pitch today, (BTW Merry Christmas, today) we ended up at the emergency room of Kootenai Hospital. It turns out the med mix up Mike did, had resulted in him initially overdosing on one that is a narcotic. He was supposed to have 1 pill each night. Instead he was taking 2 in the morning and 1 at night. When I took over, and straightened things out, I didn’t realize this was a narcotic and I put him back to 1 pill each night, but he ran out between refills and the doctor wouldn’t order anymore – so he went 4 nights without the pill and the agitation and irritation began. We finally got the refill, but by then the 1 pill each night wasn’t enough to get on top of it all and after dealing with this for a week, we find out he’s been in withdrawls. So the ER doctor gave him 1 pill there and then gave us a prescription for 15 more pills. Mike is to take 1 each morning and 1 each evening for 5 days, then skip every other day for 5 days then skip every 3 days for 5 days and that should have him back to normal. I certainly hope so, because I’m tired for him and I need a rest from this!.
So Christmas was spent at home, alone. Basically alone, because when we got back Mike went to sleep right away, stayed asleep for the most part all afternoon; woke up and took his evening meds and then went to bed for the night. I hope and pray tomorrow will be better.
Finding out the cause of his problem, and having a solution to work on, is a good thing, and I am happy to do whatever it takes for him to be comfortable.
All in all, it’s been a great day. Have a good evening.
