Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.
It’s been a really long day. It started with Mike waking me at 3 to go to PT. When I told him we didn’t have to get up yet, he began to lay down on the sofa – I looked over the banister and told him, “Go to bed!” He started to argue with me – I again said, “It’s 6 hours until we have to get up – go to bed!” He finally went to bed. But I had to go downstairs and turn off all the lights. The last time I looked at the clock it was 4am. I woke up at 7:30 and got ready for the day. I let Mike sleep until 9, then I got him up to leave. After his PT, I dropped Mike off with a couple of guys to go to lunch and I took myself to a bistro Radicci’s in Hayden. I pulled into the driveway at 12:10 pm, just after Mike was dropped off.
Mike took a long nap and while he slept, I carried the Christmas decorations out to the shop. Then at 3 decided he was going for a walk. He fell in the driveway and when I went to help he got angry with me. After he got back into the house, I cleaned up his wounds and he went back to sleep. At 4:30 he woke up and wanted steak for dinner! So we went to Texas Road House, he had only 2 or 3 bites of steak and decided he was full. So he got a to-go box and then left it on the table at the restaurant.
When we got home at 6 he wanted his evening meds so he could go to bed. He sat at the table, took the pills, and when he picked the cup up for another drink, it slipped from his hand and spilled all over the dining room floor. No worries, I mopped it up and in the process I cleaned up previous coffee spills from through-out the day. He then proceeded to tell me he wishes I wouldn’t screech at him in the middle of the night! I said, “Excuse me????” He began to mock me “Go to bed!” “Don’t sleep on the sofa – go to bed” in a high pitched, harsh voice. (grrrrrr)
I hope he lets me sleep tonight. I am really tired and cranky right now, and a good night’s sleep would work wonders for my attitude. And if he doesn’t let me sleep, he may really find out what screeching can be!! lolololololol
