Lefty’s Mitt. A clay sculpture done by Michael
It was another, fairly decent, day. No major issues occurred, PT says Mike is now seeming to improve and he’s wanting to try doing the exercises they recommend for him to do at home. I also got a call from a Senior Care Advocate to give me suggestions on getting Mike ‘someplace’ so I can have a couple of hours off. They will be getting back to me in the next day or two.
Today I had a guy come in to give me an estimate on adding a shower to the main floor powder room and I was thrilled, Mike didn’t give the guy any grief at all. After the guy left, Mike didn’t say a word about my getting an estimate. In the past, this would have been a major deal for me to have done.
Also, Mike informed me his weight is down to 153 and he thinks it’s low enough! I am thankful for that, he really does look to thin. It’s almost 7 pm on the evening of 21 January 2021 and I am so very tired, but I am also relieved to have had the last couple of days with absolutely no drama at all. I hope it can continue like this for a while longer. I am still not comfortable leaving Mike alone to go out to do anything, but I am not feeling so lost and bewildered, at the moment.
As I turn in for the evening, I am thankful for the continued prayers of many who are holding me up to the Lord. Good-night
