Turn out the lights

Psalm 91:11 For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

I took this photo in Ireland in 2004 It’s the chapel on the grounds of Kylemore Abbey in Co. Galway, Ireland

This was a quiet day, no drama, no upsets, nothing. We sat together and read, and I was on the computer. Since Mike was up late, we ate breakfast at 11 am. After I fixed breakfast and cleaned the kitchen, I gave Mike his morning meds and a glass of water; then I went to do a load of laundry and we were out of detergent. I have to get the phosphate and odor free stuff, ’cause Mike’s allergic to the other stuff. Since Robert was here, I felt okay to make a quick trip to the market, and home again! I miss the luxury days of being able to take my time. Now it’s all rushing and trying not to inconvenience anyone for my shopping trips.

I did laundry when I got back to the house, and Mike continued to read. About 5 I fixed dinner, and again cleaned the kitchen. Mike asked for his evening meds at 6 and I asked if he wanted to go to bed then, he said no – so I waited an hour before I gave them to him. At 8 I was ready to go to bed and Mike couldn’t remember taking his evening meds. I had to describe to him my getting his water, and handing him the pills. He said, “Okay, but I don’t remember taking them.” I smiled at him and told him this is why I am here, to take care of you and make sure you get stuff you need on time.

I went to my room, and folded the laundry from earlier, our grandson came in and took a shower, the Robert came in to fix a shelf. Finally at 10:30 I am able to turn out the lights.
