A Delicious break

Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Me and Mike October 2019

Today was a wonderfully delicious day with 90 minutes of worry free time away from the house. Our DIL came over to ‘bake bread’ – she’s a trained care giver, so I was able to get out of the house for a bit. I didn’t have to worry about rushing home to check on Mike, I didn’t have to worry about him falling and not being able to get help, I didn’t have to worry he would do a thousand and one things that could cause him harm!

I really needed today, and I don’t know if I’ll get another one anytime soon at all. Alycia and Robert own a food truck and they are there 6 days a week. The hours of the truck are 11:30 am – 7:30 pm. Long days, and they don’t get many breaks! And I was blessed to get her free morning so I could have a break – my 1st in a month.

Almost all of my outings, now, include Mike. I take him everywhere he needs to go, since he isn’t driving, and I also try to take him with me everywhere I go, or I don’t go at all. Mike is very content sitting at home watching tv, or reading. I don’t know how much he retains, but I do know he goes through books in a hurry! He’s on the next to the last book in a 10 book series I got him, and he’s just plowing through. I don’t know what to get him to read for the next series? Maybe the annotated works of Sherlock Holmes? That might keep him occupied for a week or two! I do need to get onto it before he’s finished. It’s best to have something all lined up.

I will have to ponder that.
