Enjoying the Remembrances

1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Fernan Lake, 29 January 2021

Today I got to do my banking, pay some bills, and have a few minutes to myself to drive to the lake. Robert was here and checked on Mike, fixed him lunch and gave Mike his medications. It was nice to be able to be away from the house for an extended period of time without having to worry.

I also got to go to Walmart, pick up a couple of things, no time for ‘browsing’, but there was time for specific items. I also got to spend my Kohl’s cash today. A good thing, it was scheduled to expire tomorrow, and that would have made me sad. I had a good amount to spend, so I got myself some silver earrings.

This evening we went to dinner with 3 other couples at Vine & Olive and it was so wonderful to be able to be out with them and to talk with the ladies. I am wondering what they thought of Mike’s decline. Was it really noticeable to them? or not? I’ll find out in the next couple of days.

Mike is now in bed, already asleep – tonight was a very late night for him and he was totally exhausted. I hope he had a good time, he seemed to be fairly engaged with the men.

Now, I am sitting in my room, listening to background music and enjoying the remembrances of today.
