A good day

Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth.

Part of a Scottish Castle, August 2017

This day was spent at home. I emptied the dehydrators, and refilled them. Mike went out on the Polaris to scrape the snow and ice from the driveway. I just found out he misplaced the cap to the fuel tank when he filled it the other day. Probably on the ground outside of the shop, buried in the snow!

It was a quiet day with no major anything happening – this is good! I was able to spend the day relaxing, cleaning up around the house a little, and Mike didn’t make any demands on me, at all.

Mike is now talking about renting a storage unit to remove some of the boxes from the shop and give him space to move around and organize stuff in there! What I concept. I begged him a year ago to please get the insulation and dry wall done prior to bringing everything in, but I was being to dramatic and he knew best. I won’t say I told you so, but I will think it! I believe I may encourage him to do a storage pod. The company will drop one (or more) off at the house, you load, and they take it away until you need it back – and they deliver to wherever you want, when you’re ready. The cost is about 1/2 of a regular storage unit. It’s something to think about. Nothing will proceed until the weather warms up.

Last weekend we were supposed to have company, but the weather predicted a big storm, so they cancelled. Good thing, Snoqualmie pass was shut down. Because they were coming, and it was Valentine’s weekend – I didn’t have Miss Emma come in to do housekeeping. She checked about coming tomorrow, but Alycia will be here baking bread, with the grandkids, and I decided not to have Miss Emma come this weekend. Next weekend is a definite must! In fact, the whole place could use a good cleaning. I used to be able to deep clean the whole house in 3-5 days. Now it takes 2 for me to get 1 room done! This is a project I will need several days to accomplish and I can almost feel the sore muscles before I even begin. Not to worry, though, I have Ibuprofen, and hot tea!!

For now it’s time to turn the lights out. Good night.
