2 Corinthians 8:7 But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also.

It has been a very long day. Mike was up at 2 am, dressed and ready to go to PT – but it’s Saturday morning and even so, when we do go to PT we leave the house at 9:15. (sigh) He was up again at 4 am to make coffee, and each time I got him back to bed. Then at 7 I was up for the day. At 7:30 Mike was up, dressed, and fell asleep on the sofa until 9. My cleaning lady, Miss Emma, arrived. Mike woke up, went to the family room and I went to the bedroom to try to nap.
After Emma was gone, about 11, Mike was telling me he thought it was 11 at night. He obviously has his days and nights backwards! Ugh! Unfortunately, this is going to impact me more than him. Usually, once I wake up, I’m up and it’s almost impossible for me to get back to sleep. I don’t mean the night time, stumble to the bathroom, and then fall back into bed – I am talking about waking up, fully and completely to help someone get back to their bed, then try to go back to sleep yourself. You lay there listening to make sure they aren’t getting up again, and you hope you can slide back to sleep – for me that rarely happens. Then at 4 Mike was up again, making coffee and making ready for the day! I again got him back to bed, I was able to finally doze off for a while, but I woke up at 7 and I was up for my day. Mike was up a 3rd time at 7:30, and then slept on the sofa until 9. It’s totally crazy!
I didn’t get much accomplished today, personally, but the housekeeper was here, and my place looks, and smells, so fresh and clean! I love it.
Tonight we move our clocks forward an hour and we lose an hour’s worth of sleep. It doesn’t impact me now, like it used to when the kids were little. Then I walked around in a fog for a few days, trying to adjust my body clock.
Mike’s already in bed, and asleep. I wonder if I’ll get a full night sleep tonight? It remains to be seen.
