Calming Mike

Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

Taken in Jerusalem, April 2018

We woke up to rain, and it rained off and on all day – better than the 6 inches of predicted snow! Mike didn’t get up until noon today, and I just let him sleep – I don’t know if he was awake a lot, last night, or if this was due to the increase of medication.

There is no way to tell, for sure, if the med is working to keep him more docile, unless something happens to upset him. That might take awhile. He doesn’t live ‘angry’ but he does go from calm to enrages in 2 seconds flat – and my arms are proof of that. I was told I could still file a police report about it, but the 1st time I’ll take as a learning curve and be better prepared if anything happens again.

Our granddaughter had a friend spend the night, and it was good to hear the girls giggle, and playing their music. They were up quite late and slept in this morning until almost 11. After they had their breakfast, they began to play hide and seek – I told them the top floor of the house was off limits. They went back and forth a couple of times, then raided the pantry! It was fun to listen to their antics, giggles, and laughter.

Mike mostly stayed in the family room today, he either watched tv, or he slept, which is his typical. This evening he said he wants to begin doing stuff besides sitting all day! YES!!! I can agree with that one. We need to begin walking, even in the rain. I found out I don’t melt!

I have an early day tomorrow, fasting labs at 8 am and I have to leave the house no later than 7:30 to get there on time. In a few days following the labs, I will go in to see the doctor and get my yearly wellness check per Medicare.

Mike’s already gone to sleep for the evening, and soon, so will I.
