1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
Me and Mike in Oregon 2014
What a great day it was. Mike went to his PT, then friends came to visit us from Southern California, Jonathan Pickett, his older brother Mel Pickett and Mel’s wife, Sarah. While they were here, our other company, Dennis and Liz were out and about sightseeing.
After the Pickett’s were gone, Mike and I went to Elmer’s for lunch, then Dennis and Liz came back and we spent a few hours visiting. Then Mike took a nap. We had dinner of spaghetti, and right as we finished, friends of Dennis and Liz showed up and the 6 of us laughed, talked and enjoyed each other’s company for a good three hours!
Mike did terrific with company. He was engaged, and involved with the conversation and it was good, but I could tell he was getting really tired. He managed to maintain, though and I was happy with this.
Now, Liz and I are in our respective rooms, and Dennis and Mike are watching a ‘guy’ movie so the house it quiet, almost all the lights are out, and I am getting ready to shut down fully for the night. Tomorrow will be another busy day, and I am looking forward to it.
