2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
Me and Mike at Bondi Beach, Australia October 2019
I had to go to the bank this morning, and there was no one to be here with Mike, I managed to be out the door by 8:45. to the bank by 9:05 (they open at 9), got to the electric company by 9:15, and back home by 9:35. Mike was still asleep. I needed to get to city hall to turn in a couple of papers, and Mike was up by 10, so I asked him to get ready and go with me. He was reluctant at first, but I promised to take him to breakfast, and he was good with that.
Things got accomplished, and after we got back home Mike asked me what time was him PT tomorrow, “it’s not tomorrow, I have an appointment”; he walked around the living room a couple of times, and asked if he was going to lunch tomorrow. “Yes, the guys will pick you up about 10:30” ; he paused, looked at me and asked “what time is my PT tomorrow?” I told him again ( and a third, and fourth time) it’s not tomorrow, I have an appointment.
Then we began with lunch with the guys. “Are you dropping me off to have lunch with the guys?” “No, they’re picking you up about 10:30” Okay, pacing more, “How am I going to get to lunch if you’re not here?” “The guys will pick you up about 10:30” (again a third and a fourth time).
I laid down to take a nap, I’ve had a headache since being rear ended, not at the base of my skull near my neck, but near the crown of my head! Mike came in 2x to check on me, I rarely lay down to nap, and he finally sat down on the bed to watch tv with me for a couple of hours. As he was leaving to go to his room he began, again: “How will I get to lunch tomorrow?” “The guys will pick you up about 10:30. Do you need to set an alarm to wake up on time?” “No, I don’t think so. Should I be ready to go by 10?” “Yes, that sounds like a great idea!” He smiled, kissed my forehead, and went to his room.
