1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
Mike and me at Sweetheart Abbey, Dumfries, Scotland August 2017
Today I was up early to wait for FedEx. Mike got up at 10 and laid down on the sofa and slept until noon – that’s when FedEx showed up. Mike wanted to go to lunch, but he laid back down and went to sleep again until 1 pm. Finally he woke up, and wanted to go to Elmer’s.
When we got back to the house the pool guy was here working, and the sprinkler guys showed up. Between the 2 Mike and I were trying to get all things handled and the winter pool cover put away before the sprinklers got turned on. Mike tripped in the storage shed and fell, I ran in to help him and he yelled at me.
So I left the storage shed and went into the house – the sprinkler guys needed to ask a couple of questions, so I stepped outside to talk to them and Mike came out the front door and fell on the steps. 😦
Shortly after that, Mike went to the family room, and I was on the phone to the imaging center at the hospital. I need an ultrasound of my kidneys done, but they only do early morning, and Mike won’t let anyone in the house – Darn! Now what am I supposed to do? I can’t leave him to go in, and I can’t take him with me. I am really stymied – if you have any suggestions, please pass them on, because I have no clue.
Mike is sleeping more and more, but interestingly today he ate like he’s not eaten in weeks! Breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner! And he wasn’t happy that I didn’t have anything else handy for him to eat.
I am beyond tired and beyond frustrated, and I am sure neither of those things make the other one any better. I have to go downstairs now, and shut the gas off for the kitchen range, so he can’t light it, on the chance he will get up at night and decide to try to cook something other than the popcorn popper.
