Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest
My day started on the run and continued. There were several things I had planned to get done, and none of them happened! I didn’t make it to Costco, or Walmart, to return clothes I’d gotten for Mike. I didn’t get the electric paid, or the satellite, or any of it! I made it to Rathdrum, got to 2 markets, and got the car washed. 3 hours goes by very quick! I didn’t make it to Staples, or the pharmacy A whole lot didn’t get done! I did get Mike to the Bennett House at 11:30 and I picked him up at 2:20. That was good!
Tonight he totally surprised me – he came up to me as I was sitting on the sofa, got down on his knees in front of me, and apologized for not being kind to me! He said he was sorry that he’s been self-centered, and not taking into account how difficult this whole situation must be for me! I began to sob! He stood up, kissed the top of my head and suggested we go to dinner.
We got home about 8:30 and Mike told me he was very tired, so I said, then we should go to bed early! Oops! He got angry and told me not to treat him like an infant. I reminded him we had to leave the house by 9:30 in the morning- that didn’t help the situation. Mike finally went to bed about 10. While waiting for him to do that, I got things ready to send to the workman’s comp attorney, typed out the list of Mike’s meds, wrote a letter, printed off a few photos, and added a few notes of my own, along with Mike’s medical records from the neurologist. I made sure it the envelope is sealed well, and taped and stamps already on, so Mike won’t be tempted to open the package to look at it.
I had planned to have a cup of tea before going to sleep, but I’m to tired to go downstairs to make it.
