Galatians 5:14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: love your neighbor as yourself
Mike woke me at 3:30. He said he wanted to make sure I was there. Then it took me about 30 minutes to get him back to bed. By that time I was wide awake, so I took a shower, had a cup of tea, and began working on my closet. I switched all the clothes from plastic, or wire, hangers, to wooden ones. I have a mess to clean up from the hangers, but the hanging stuff looks great!
Mike went to the Bennett House, and today they actually got him to play bingo with everyone else! This is a good thing!
when he got home he began to measure the doorway at the foot of the stairs. He said he should put a fate up so he wouldn’t wander the house at night. I recommended he allow an alarm on his door to ring my phone when he gets up and I can make sure he’s okay – he’s agreed! 😮
So papers were filed today, at the court, to give me emergency consevertorship of Mike, and then he has to be told this is happening. 🥴 I’m not sure how he will take it, but I am calling the doctor’s office tomorrow to see if the doctor will tell him it’s necessary.
He will have to know soon, as we will be interviewed in a couple of weeks by someone for the court. There will also be an attorney appointed for Mike’s protection.
For now, Mike seems ro be realizing he’s needing more care than before, and I think he’ll be more apt to accept using a walker as opposed to falling! (Or almost falling)
I will be glad when this is behind me, I dont want him being upset and angry. I want him more like needing hugs.
I’ve now been up 19 hours and I really need to get some sleep.
