Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
It was chilly when I got up this morning, so I fixed a cup of hot Constant Comment tea with Bailey’s Irish Cream and enjoyed the cool, quiet morning.
When Mike got up, he couldn’t find his clothes. He said I hadn’t been putting things away for him. I took him to his room, opened his dresser, and showed him underwear, socks, t- shirts. He said “good. ” and began getting dressed.
When Mike came into the living room, I got him his meds, and he tried to lay down to sleep, but I had him get his shoes on, I had to remind him to zip his pants, and it was time to leave to the Bennett House.
I hurried back home, today was a court ordered interview with the home inspector. This is part of the guardianship/conservatorship I am working on getting. Mike needs to be interviewed next. My 30 minute interview actually lasted 90+ minutes and ended at 1:45. I had time to run to the market and get a small package of fresh sushi and a latte – breakfast and lunch.
I picked Mike up and we went to Kootenai Imaging he had 2 scheduled tests. 1 a CT scan and 1 an ultrasound of his carotid arteries. As soon as he was finished, and we got home, he wanted to eat – I fixed a burrito for him and while he ate, I fell asleep! Thats something I rarely do, especially since he was still awake and wandering around the house! At least he could see me sleeping ,and didn’t need to wake me to see if I was there.
I had to rebandage his arm this morning and he took the bandage off this evening, so I put a new bandage on him before he went to bed for the night. I’m going to need to purchase more large bandages.
I am hoping to be able to get a good rest tonight m, so I am hoping he sleeps all night.
