Back on Track

Psalm 118:14 The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.

A pretty plaque

Mike was up at 9 and slept on the sofa until 11:15, when it was time to leave. After ai took him to the Bennett House, I delivered a couple of meals to my friend Terry. She’s been really sick and not up to cooking. I didn’t stay, or go in. Leaving Terry’s house, I met Marge for coffee, and we had a pleasant chat; It was a fast hour and we could have visited for at least 2 more hours. I left Marge and went to the eye doctor, then the pharmacy, for Mike, and then the Natural Grocer for some essential oils – they didn’t have anything I was looking for. Then it was time to get Mike.

After getting home, Mike slept on the sofa for about an hour; then he decided he wanted to gonfor a walk – we made it to the end of the driveway and he needed to go back to the house. He immediately got to the sofa and fell asleep again.

Shortly after dinner, Mike decided it was time to go to bed so I got his evening medications and made sure he got downstairs safe. He was in his room, with the door closed, by 8:15.

Other than my running around, doing errands, the day has been decently quiet and pleasant. This evening as I am getting ready to go to bed, I am listening to the thunder rolling in and the rain pounding on the skylight in the bathroom. A good night to snuggle into the blankets for a soothing night’s rest.
