He looks frail and fragile

Luke 1:37 For no word from God will ever fail

A cozy fireplace.

I’ve been awake since 3 am, and up since 6:15. I woke with some special people on my heart, and I spent a bit of time praying for them before I got up. I was enjoying a cup of tea in the quiet morning and Vicki joined me. (She likes to talk) At 8:30 Mike was up wanting to go to breakfast, and as soon as the housekeeper arrives, we took off for Mike’s favorite restaurant, Elmer’s. After breakfast, and getting home, Mike took a long nap and I sliced tomatoes and zucchini for the dehydrator. Vicki kept her dog sitting on her lap while she looked for bamboo curtains online.

When I was done in the kitchen I asked her what her opinion was of Mike’s condition. She said he looks very frail, and fragile. He’s slowed down from when she was here a year ago, and she was amazed at the change. It seems to be happening fast. – However, I have to say, while she’s been here, Mike has been a little more engaged, and a little more talkative. This is a good thing.

Vicki leaves tomorrow morning, and I am hoping she has a safe drive back home. We’ve had some really heavy rain, and cold winds blowing. I may have to put a fire in the cast iron stove, it’s getting really chilly.

Now, at 9:30 pm, Mike’s in bed asleep, Vicki has finished packing, I have cleaned the kitchen and I am now in my room. I’ve been awake over 18 hours and I am very tired.
